For healthcare providers, having a system that thoroughly documents completed compliance and role-based training along with the current status of required certifications by job role is imperative. Ensuring these goals are met requires a robust learning platform that manages a wide variety of course formats and catalogues, provides the ability to create and update online courses quickly, and generates detailed transcripts and reports easily.
The solution for University of Utah Health (U of U Health) provided both data migration services along with the learning management system (LMS) implementation. Completing these tasks in parallel allowed U of U Health to successfully launch their new LMS before the expiration of their legacy contract. Success required strong communication and coordination between U of U Health and eSkillz to ensure that over 1 million data records were migrated and implemented in the new LMS in record time to avoid training downtime across their organization. |

Training has always been a focal point for the State of Ohio and its employees, but they struggled with the limitations of their legacy Learning Management System (LMS). Ohio realized they needed a more robust LMS that could equip their workforce to understand state mandates, provide statewide and agency-specific training on various topics, and satisfy their agencies’ recent request to deliver the latest quality training to their external customers. To achieve these goals, eSkillz implemented the Oracle Taleo Learn LMS for the State of Ohio and 23 of its agencies—branded and launched as “Ohio Learn”, with 25 total unique learning portals—and worked with Ohio as they established a new IT infrastructure that integrates multiple systems to offer a cohesive training experience for their internal and external audiences.

While working with clients on a daily basis implementing Cornerstone OnDemand, I’ve had a lot of opportunity to see what worked well on a client’s deployment, and what may have worked better if we had the chance to do it over again. Clients that have taken steps to thoroughly plan their project, stick to their planned scope, and are open to suggestions tend to have the most successful deployments. Here are a few ways that some clients set up their deployment for success before they even begin the implementation process.

The COVID-19 global pandemic positioned America’s healthcare workers on the front lines in the fight against the virus. In order to effectively and efficiently care for infected patients, hospitals and organizations race to train nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals on critical COVID-19 treatment methods and procedures. It’s crucial for these essential healthcare workers to have up-to-date training resources available to them as they hone their skillsets and prepare as much as possible for the battlefield.
